Today I saw a photo of a cute little baby sea turtle in a lovely blue green ocean. So I decided to do that! I will admit that I’m a little irritated with myself because I really wanted to do a pattern tonight and I’m ultimately feeling disappointed in this. Ohhh welllllll! I did have a wonderful Thanksgiving, though!
Disco wombat. What else needs to be said?
See it on Redbubble.
Decided to do badgers today. I got the dreaded wheel of death when working in Illustrator and lost all my work and had to go back and start again. UGH.
Like I did with the raccoons, I did the illustrations today and will create a pattern tomorrow. They are so similar in style I think that I will do a pattern combining the two here in the near future!
My friend requested a giraffe print. I decided to do the giraffes today and try to work them into a pattern tomorrow. They didn’t exactly come out as I was expecting, to be honest. I will see what I can do with them tomorrow.
It is fascinating how you can start out to do something very specific and what comes out the other side is nowhere near where you were intending to go! You can see all the iterations on Redbubble!
I watched a little bit of Blue Planet with my son tonight and was inspired by the massive schools of sardines and their quick, synchronized movements. And then they all got chompy-chomped by tuna, and then dolphins, and then sea birds, and finally sharks. I mean really, they had no chance whatsoever.
I ran into some real technical difficulties today that really pushed the limits of Illustrator as well as my patience. I finally pulled everything into Photoshop to finish it off and get the colors closer to where I wanted them. I never really got it where I wanted it, but I do like the final product nonetheless.
Because repeat patterns don’t work well on tees that are not all over print, I also did a standalone graphic for those products as well.
You can see them all on Redbubble here!
I was a bit aimless tonight. I started with an elephant, then a hedgehog, then thought about doing a quail, and finally decided to do a sheep. It turned out pretty cartoony, but it’s pretty cute!
In other news, my pigeon pattern from Day 33 has been featured on Redbubble’s home page in the FOUND section! It’s gotten a ton of likes, and I’ve already made many sales today. It really made my day.
I did both a single illustration and a repeat pattern for the different items on Redbubble.
I’m full of candy. My son was a unicorn, and we got lots of trick or treating done in our new neighborhood. Good times! As you can imagine, I started really late today. I wanted to do something Halloween related, but also keep with my animals in print theme. So, a black cat seemed like the natural, if cliché, answer.
That’s the idea I started with. This is what I ended up with. Find it on Redbubble here!
